In 2000 Steven conceived Beletich
Associates. Since then he has undertaken numerous projects for

1998 to 2000: SEDA - Group Manager Residential Energy Efficiency
- Management of strategic direction for sustainable energy in the NSW residential sector.
- Management of $3M p.a. budget and 8 program management staff including environmental, engineering, science and communications professionals.
- Project directorship of more than 10 market development programs, including scoping, design, implementation, marketing and evaluation of each.
- Commercialisation of programs to provide maximum leverage of funds through private sector relationships.
- Monitoring and verification of emissions reductions, using extensive data collection and modelling techniques.
- Media spokesperson in television, radio and print media.
- Guest lecturer at universities and seminar presentations, including ACEEE Energy Efficiency in Buildings Conference California 1998.
- Contracts and legals management.

- Direct responsibility for solar hot water programs.
- Direct responsibility for social justice programs, including Community Housing Program (energy and water efficiency retrofit of 8,000+ low income homes).
- Direct responsibility for Energy Smart Finance Program.

1996:
Egis Consulting (Contract Position)
- Direct responsibility for delivery of environmental impact studies. Including environmental impact statements, community consultation and community engagement, local environmental studies and environmental reviews. Engaged and managed sub-consultants to provide assessment of flora & fauna, noise, air, water, traffic and cultural heritage impacts. Clients include CSR-PGH, Mobil, Shell, BP, BHP, RTA, Sydney Water, DUAP, Fairfield Council, North Sydney Council.
- Project Manager of Mobil Oil Australia divestment program, involving demolition and remediation of 25 service station sites around NSW. Project value $1.5m.
1995: British Energy (Professional Scholarship)
- Confederation of British Industry Scholarship - placement to British Energy, Hunterston Power Plant. 12 months duration.
- Project manage design, installation and performance verification of replacement intermediate pressure steam turbines.
- Design and implement plant overhaul and upgrade projects, including steam turbine, boiler and waste handling plant.
- Project manage 2 x 15MW diesel cogenerator overhauls.
1994: Delta Electricity (PE1 rotation)
- BHP Steel Port Kembla - 3 x 60MW gas turbine cogeneration units overhaul & upgrade. Direct responsibility for quality assurance, inspection, project planning and tracking.
- Mechanical and electrical major upgrade work on 660MW steam turbines and boilers at Vales Point and Eraring Power Stations. Direct responsibility for detailed project planning and tracking, subcontractor management, resource and cost estimating, mathematical modelling and QA.
1993: TransGrid (PE1 rotation)
- Direct responsibility for long term planning of Western Sydney portion of the NSW electricity transmission and distribution system, including system augmentation and DSM investigations.
- Direct responsibility for Regentville 330/132 kV Substation economic evaluation - $22m cost benefit and cost effectiveness analyses. Including risk analysis, load and loss calculations, load forecasting, computer simulation, demand side management, environmental assessment and life cycle analysis.
- Direct responsibility for installation of photovoltaic RAPS systems at remote Hunter Valley microwave repeaters.
